As a Founder/President and now sole owner of Waterbourne Real Estate Advisors, LLC, and a Founder/former Partner of Waterbourne Construction Advisors, LLC, Anthony D’Auria acted as both a real estate broker and in a key role in new business development. His extensive expertise and experience put both he and the Waterbourne companies at the center of real estate and construction activity in Upstate New York.

Prior to co-founding the Waterbourne companies, Mr. D’Auria worked in higher education as an adjunct professor and administrator, ending his career in that industry as Director of Admissions and Public Relations at Medaille College in Buffalo. He then spent 6 years as the Marketing Manager at Uniland Development Company – one of Upstate New York’s largest real estate development firms. In 1993, Mr. D’Auria, with another former Uniland executive, left that company and formed Waterbourne Group, Inc. which eventually became two distinct and independent companies—Waterbourne Real Estate Advisors, LLC and Waterbourne Construction Management, LLC.

Active within the community, Mr. D’Auria served 11 years on the Board of Directors of Summit Educational Resources, Inc. (now known as The Summit Center) – Western New York’s premier provider of evidence-based interventions for children and young adults with Autism. He served a 4-year term as president. He has also served as Co-Chairman of the 2016-2019 Building Hope Capital Campaign. In August of 2019, Mr. D’Auria was named to a 3-year term as Director Emeritus, and was honored with the 2019 Hope Award for his contributions, both personally and professionally, to The Summit Center.

Mr. D’Auria is also a former member of the Board of Directors of the Irish Classical Theatre, and Director Emeritus of the Board of Directors of the Erie Community College Foundation. He served a two-year stint as president of that organization and in August 2004 was honored for his leadership by the Board of Trustees. In addition, he is past president of the Board of Directors of the Upstate New York Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP); a former board member and Vice President of Buffalo/Niagara Sales and Marketing Executives; past president of the Western New York College and University Admissions Consortium; a former member of the St. Mark’s School Board of Directors; a founding member of the Greater Niagara Frontier Eagle Scout Alumni Association; and former member of the Executive Board of the Greater Niagara Frontier Council of the Boy Scouts of America.

Mr. D’Auria has been an active fundraiser over many years for Aspire of WNY, The Summit Center, St. Mark’s School of Buffalo, Nardin Academy, and the Irish Classical Theater.
